  • We love Ireland for its wonderful atmospheric seasons - which each bring a unique ambiance to your elopement day.

Whilst summer is many people’s favorite time of your, we actually think that spring and autumn are the best times of the year to elope in Ireland. In springtime, you’ll find Irish landscapes awash with gorgeous pastel hues - and in autumn, you can look forward to warming browns and oranges within the landscape.

Every season has its pros and cons, but an important thing to consider is tourism. Places like the Cliffs of Moher can be super busy during peak tourist season which is from May to September. So if privacy is the most important thing to you, let’s make sure you avoid eloping then, or on a public holiday. A wedding in Ireland around St. Patrick’s Day is going to be a no-no.

Generally speaking, it’s best to avoid eloping in Ireland during the wettest months, which are August, October, and December - even though August can be lovely and warm. The least rainfall comes between April and July, which is another reason why you might opt for late spring. You will really want to remember this if you have your heart set on an outdoor wedding ceremony.

One thing to mention is that the weather in Ireland is still totally unpredictable. It’s not uncommon to see all four seasons in one day - someone even wrote a song about it! In most cases, we can postpone the ceremony for half an hour or so and hope that the sky clears up. We usually advise all our couples to book a nice hotel that can serve as an alternative ceremony location if the weather is particularly bad

However, it can be fun and liberating to simply go with the flow and embrace it. Spontaneous rain showers mean super cute photo opportunities if you bring a playful and open mindset. Think colorful wellies under your wedding dress and romantic umbrella photos!

This sums up how we think about Ireland in a way - cheeky, unexpected, but always magnificently beautiful!

  • Every couple's elopement timeline is different, depending on the location, season, and time of the day but generally speaking, the ceremony is usually around 20 minutes long and we will have to factor in the duration of the photoshoot. The whole experience usually lasts a total of 4 hours but we recommend keeping the whole day available in case plans unexpectedly change.

When planning your elopement, one of the most important things to consider is the time of the sunset. The harsh midday sun is too bright to take flattering pictures, so you will want to aim for sunlight obscured by clouds - or best - evening sun and sunsets. In spring, sunsets in Ireland are a little earlier and there are fewer tourists, which brings more flexibility to your day.

We will send you the schedule of your day around two weeks before your elopement in Ireland.

  • Having your own wheels makes exploring Ireland's winding roads and scenic coastlines easy. But there are also many other ways to get around the island. So, if you don’t decide to rent a car for your Irish elopement, we can organize a transfer for your elopement day.

Here are some other ways to get around Ireland:

    • Hire a driver - For stress-free travel, hire a driver to escort you between destinations and activities. They'll handle navigation and parking.

    • Use buses - An affordable option, Ireland has an extensive bus network. City center routes are frequent but rural ones less so.

    • Take trains - Quick and scenic, trains connect Dublin to major towns though other routes are limited. Book ahead for best fares.

    • Fly between cities - To maximize your time, fly between Dublin and Shannon or Cork to access different regions faster.

    • Join group tours - For special excursions like the Cliffs of Moher or Giant's Causeway, guided group trips take care of logistics.

    • Walk and bike - Active couples can walk or bike between close-together destinations. Ireland has great pedestrian and cycling infrastructure.

  • In Ireland, we offer both, elopement packages and our premium service. Besides having everything that’s included in the elopement package, our premium service involves a completely customizable elopement with a 2-day photoshoot, premium venue rental, art direction, and more!
